Anakeesta
High up above Gatlinburg is an attraction called Anakeesta. The first part of your adventure is getting up to Anakeesta. You will either take a chondola (basically a ski lift chair), a gondola (enclosed space) or you can stay on the ground and get up the mountain on their Ridge Rambler vehicle.
Once you’re up to the top, you will arrive to amazing mountain views and plenty of things to do. Since Anakeesta has opened, they have constantly been adding onto it. As of this writing, some things you can do at Anakeesta include:
- Explore the beautiful garden
- Climb to the top of the Anavista Observation Tower
- Traverse the swinging bridges on the Treetop Skywalk
- Play in the Bearventure or Treeventure Challenge Course (a couple super cool playscapes)
- Visit the shops
- Sit in one of the many rocking chairs to enjoy the panoramic mountain view
- Enjoy a meal or drink with a beautiful mountain view*
- Zipline*
- Ride the Mountain Coaster*
- Gem Mining*
- Astra Lumina – enchanted night walk*
*Extra charges for these items
