Ripley’s Aquarium of The Smokies

Sharks and rays and penguins, oh my! Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies is a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours in downtown Gatlinburg. Our family particularly enjoys Shark Lagoon, where you will be carried along by a conveyor so you can take in all the ocean life around you. The big sharks are a thrill to see up close and personal!

There’s plenty more sea life to enjoy. Octopus, jellyfish, eels, many variety of fish, and you can even pet a sting ray – all included with the cost of admission.

There are additional add-ons that can be purchased, too. Those experiences include a more up-close and personal encounter with turtles or penguins or a ride in a glass bottom boat gliding above Shark Lagoon.
