The TV in the living room is a Frame TV, designed to look like art when you enter the room and are not watching TV. The TV should be set up to sense motion and show artwork when the TV is not being used. If the TV is operating in this way, please do not change any settings to change this behavior nor change the images.
You can use the apps on the TV to log in to streaming services (such as Netflix). Please don’t forget to log out before you check-out. Hit the Home button on the white remote to get to apps.
You can watch cable channels through the DIRECTV app. Click the Home button on the white remote to see the apps. Direct TV should be the first or second app shown. Once you start the app, navigate using the navigation circle on the remote. Clicking the bottom of the navigation circle will bring up the DirectTV guide so you can see what’s playing. The Theater TV has these features:
- Smart TV where you can log in to your own streaming apps like Netflix. Please make sure to log out of your personal accounts before checking out.
- PS5 with preloaded games
- Cable TV through DirectTV streaming app. Please do not log out of our DirectTV account.
- Movies through VUDU app (including all the Harry Potter movies)! Please do not log out of our VUDU account.
Sound Bar – use the JBL remote to turn on/off the sound bar and adjust the volume.
We have a DIRECTV subscription for streaming cable channels. These channels are accessed through the DIRECTTV app, accessed through the Home screen. Please do not log our account out of the DIRECTV app!
Since we are using streaming exclusively, there are only a few buttons on the remote you need to use.
- Power button – to turn the TV on and off
- Microphone button – if you want to use voice commands.
- Scroll wheel and OK button – for navigating through apps.
- Home button – gets you back to the home screen and lets you switch between apps.
- Volume + and – buttons for adjusting volume.
- Mute button to toggle sound off and on.

If the remote is not responding, the batteries are likely dead. Please check the cabinet above the refrigerator or the pantry for new batteries.
PS5 instructions
- Start the PS5 by turning on one of the PS5 controllers. You turn on the controller by pressing the PS button that’s in the center of the controller.
- Log in as a guest to play our games or sign in with your own account if you have one. We have a few games including Spiderman 2 and Hogwarts Legacy. DO NOT DELETE OUR GAMES!
- You can use the PS5 to play a DVD / Blu-ray movie if you brought one with you.
- To turn off the PS5, Press the PlayStation (PS) button on your DualSense controller. That will bring up the Control Center taskbar menu. Scroll to the far right to view power options, and select Turn Off PS5.
There is a spare HDMI cord if you want to hook up a different game system. Just plug it in.
VUDU movies – We have purchased all the Harry Potter movies so that you can watch them at any time. Visit the VUDU app to find the movies. Please do not log our account off of VUDU.

Dishwasher Guide
If the dishwasher does not operate:
* Check that the door is closed tightly and latched
* Has the cycle been set correctly to start the dishwasher?
* Has a GFCI tripped? Check the plug in the half bathroom. Reset the GFCI by pressing the button.
If none of those things work, please Contact Us so we can work to help resolve the issue.
For your own safety, please follow the hot tub safety rules posted near the hot tub.
Things to know:
- When the cleaners refill the hot tub, it is filled with cold water. It will take a while to get to a hot temperature.
- Any adjustments to the temperature take time to take effect. Think of it similarly to your heat or air conditioning in your home. The more degrees that you’re adjusting by, the longer it will take. It will warm up faster if the cover is on and cool down faster if it’s off.
- It is unsafe to go into a hot tub that’s over 104 degrees for anybody, and lower temperatures for children and others with medical conditions. Do not go in if it reads higher than 104 on the panel.
- The floater in the tub keeps the water clean. Taking it out while in the water will cause the water to get cloudy and dirty.
- Even if you turn the jets off, you may hear them kicking on from time to time. That’s what circulates the water to run it through the filters and heating elements.
Be sure to close the nozzle on the propane tank by turning the knob on top of the tank counter-clockwise after use. Please also clean the grill after use.
If you run out of propane, there is an additional tank in the table located between the rocking chairs. IMPORTANT: please text us at 865-217-1757 to let us know that the propane tank ran out so that we can get the spare refilled for the next guests.
- Hang used towels on towel racks or on hooks.
- Leave linens on the beds.
- Load and start the dishwasher.
- Bring all trash to outdoor containers.
- Check outlets for your chargers.
- Check closets, drawers and dryer for clothes.
- Ensure the home is in a clean, respectable condition.
- Lock all exterior doors and windows.
